Frankfurt, London, 28 January 2008 - Jones Lang LaSalle has announced its acquisition of Kemper’s Group in Germany subject to the approval of the German Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
Kemper’s is Germany’s leading retail property advisor, providing a full range of investment, leasing, consulting, valuation and management services. The firm currently has nine offices around Germany and employs 145 people.
Alastair Hughes, CEO EMEA said: “We have identified retail as an area of our business where we can considerably grow our market share across Europe. The aim of this acquisition is to combine two strong businesses and become market leader in retail in Germany.”
Subject to regulatory approval the acquisition will be completed by May 2008, at which time Jones Lang LaSalle’s number of employees in Germany will increase to 500, based in offices in 10 different cities. This includes new Jones Lang LaSalle offices in Leipzig, Cologne and Hannover as a result of the Kemper’s acquisition.
